Planning and permitted development applications can require drawings of the existing property (if applicable) and proposed scheme. The planning stage is where most of the design work is done and different ideas can be explored.

A typical planning application must take a number of factors into consideration such as size, budget and aesthetic requirements, neighbouring properties, flood risk, root protection zones, disabled access and national space standards.
